How to reach first place in a product card on Kaspi.kz
When dozens of stores sell one product, most orders go to those higher up in the card. We look at what the buyer pays attention to, what of that depends on you and how to hold the position without losing margin.
What the buyer sees in the product card
When opening a product on Kaspi.kz, the buyer sees a list of sellers with price, terms and delivery method, as well as the store's rating. The exact sort order is determined by Kaspi and may change, but the buyer's choice is built from understandable things: how much it costs, when it will be delivered and whether the seller can be trusted. Each of them can be worked on.
Factor 1. Price
The strongest and fastest lever. With equal delivery terms, the buyer almost always picks the cheaper offer — even if the difference is just a few tenge. That's why in competitive cards sellers constantly undercut each other's prices.
To win on price and not go into the red:
- Know your minimum. For each product, calculate the price below which selling is unprofitable — accounting for commission, delivery and tax. How to do that — in the article "Kaspi commission and minimum price".
- React fast. While your price is higher, orders go to the competitor. If a competitor cut the price at night and you noticed in the morning — you've lost a night of sales.
- Don't stand lower than needed. If a competitor raised their price, raise yours too: being 1 ₸ cheaper is enough, 500 ₸ is an unnecessary loss of margin.
Doing this by hand across hundreds of products around the clock is impossible — that's what automatic price reduction is used for: the bot watches competitors and recalculates the price by your rules.
Factor 2. Delivery
For the buyer it matters when they'll get the product. An offer with delivery tomorrow can beat a cheaper one with delivery in a week. What you can do:
- keep the product in stock in the city where it is bought, rather than bringing it to order;
- connect the delivery methods available in the seller account that are faster for the buyer;
- collect and hand over orders quickly — order notifications in Telegram are handy for this.
Factor 3. Rating and reviews
A store's rating and reviews are what distinguish a reliable seller from a random one. They can't be bought quickly, but they can be kept from being spoiled:
- Don't sell what you don't have. An order cancelled because the product is out of stock is a direct blow to reputation. Keep track of stock or use automatic warehouse tracking.
- Ship on time. Buyers remember delays and missed deadlines.
- Reply to buyers. A quick answer to a question in chat often decides whether they buy from you or from your neighbor in the card.
Factor 4. Availability and assortment
A product that has run out can't be sold at any price. And when a store has a wide assortment in one category, the buyer returns more often. Make sure popular items don't disappear from stock and update pre-orders on time.
Typical mistakes in the fight for first place
- Dumping with no minimum. Cutting the price endlessly after a competitor is the road to selling at a loss.
- Manual repricing once a day. Competitors with bots react within minutes — you'll be first for only a few minutes a day.
- War with your own stores. If you have several stores, don't let them undercut each other.
- Focusing on price only. A low price won't save you with slow delivery and bad reviews.
Summary: what to do today
- Calculate the minimum price for each product.
- Check who is first in your cards right now and how far behind them you are.
- Put stock in order — take what you don't have off sale.
- Turn on automatic price management to respond to competitors around the clock.
The RebithReprice bot for Kaspi covers items 2–4: it tracks competitors, keeps the price 1 ₸ below the best offer without going below the minimum, and withdraws sold-out products from sale.
Frequently asked questions
Does the lowest price guarantee first place?
No. Price is a strong factor, but the buyer also sees delivery times and the store rating. A low price with slow delivery can lose to a slightly more expensive offer with delivery tomorrow.
How fast should I react to a competitor lowering their price?
The faster the better: while your price is higher, orders go to the competitor. Reacting by hand around the clock is impossible, which is why sellers use repricers.
How not to lose money while fighting for first place?
Set a minimum price for each product accounting for cost, commission, delivery and tax — and don't go below it, neither by hand nor with a bot.
