Automatic price reduction on Kaspi.kz: 1 ₸ below the competitor, but not below your minimum
Automatic price reduction is the main function of the RebithReprice repricer. The bot itself watches who has the lowest price in the product card, sets yours one tenge lower and stops at the minimum you set. And if a competitor raises their price, the bot raises yours too.
What automatic price reduction is
On Kaspi.kz dozens of stores sell the same product, and the buyer sees them as a list in the card. All else being equal, they choose the best offer. That's why sellers constantly undercut each other's prices — and whoever reacts faster gets the orders.
Automatic price reduction is a rule by which the bot does this for you: finds the competitor's best price, sets yours slightly lower and sends the updated price list to Kaspi. You set the limits once — after that the bot acts on its own, including at night and on weekends, when nobody changes prices by hand.
How the bot calculates your price: three examples
Say you sell a product and your minimum price is 15,200 ₸. Selling below it is unprofitable.
A competitor cut their price
The best price in the card is 15,500 ₸. The bot sets yours at 15,499 ₸, and your offer becomes the best one.
A competitor dropped below the minimum
The competitor dropped to 15,100 ₸. The bot stops at 15,200 ₸ and goes no further — you don't sell at a loss.
A competitor raised their price
The best price rose to 16,000 ₸. The bot raises yours to 15,999 ₸ — you stay first and don't lose 500 ₸ of margin on every sale.
Your second store is in the card
If it's on the "friendly" list, the bot doesn't try to undercut it — your stores don't drive each other's prices down.
The reduction step and price change logic can be configured for each product separately — 1 ₸ below the competitor is the default behavior, not a rigid rule.
How to calculate the minimum price
Whether you profit from auto-reduction depends on the minimum price. If you set it too low, the bot will honestly sell with almost no profit. To avoid that, the minimum must include all selling costs:
- the product's cost price — purchase and delivery to your warehouse;
- the Kaspi commission for selling in your category;
- delivery to the buyer, if you pay for it yourself;
- tax on the sale;
- minimum profit, below which there's no point in selling.
In the RebithReprice panel, the commission, tax and delivery rates are set once in the store settings, and the product add wizard calculates the minimum price with a calculator. For products priced in foreign currency there's automatic minimum price updating by exchange rate.
How often the bot changes the price
Competitor prices are checked on a schedule — from 1 minute, depending on your plan. The updated price list is sent to Kaspi.kz automatically, from 15 minutes, and if it's urgent — with a button, without waiting for the schedule. Every change is saved in the history with the time and reason, and before every price list change a snapshot of it remains in the archive — you can return to any version.
Typical mistakes with auto-reduction
- A minimum that ignores commission and delivery. The product sells, but no money is gained. Recalculate the minimum using the list above.
- One minimum for the whole catalog. Products have different cost prices and commissions — the minimum is needed for each SKU.
- Your own stores are not on the friendly list. If you have several stores on Kaspi, one store's bot will start undercutting the other.
- Stock isn't updated. The product ran out, but the bot keeps holding the best price and collecting orders. In RebithReprice the warehouse withdraws a product from sale when it runs out.
How auto-reduction differs from manual management
Manually, a seller usually checks competitors a few times a day, and the rest of the time the price stays put. While you sleep or are busy, a competitor drops the price by a tenge and takes the orders. The bot acts around the clock on a schedule, doesn't make mistakes with numbers and won't sell below the minimum through inattention. Frequently asked questions
By how much does the bot lower the price?
By default — 1 tenge below the competitor's best price. The step and price change logic can be configured separately for each product.
What if a competitor drops the price below my minimum?
The bot stops at your minimum price and goes no further. It won't sell at a loss for the sake of first place.
Does the bot only lower the price, or can it raise it too?
It can raise it. If a competitor raises the price, the bot raises yours to the optimal level too, so you don't sell cheaper than needed.
How to calculate the minimum price correctly?
Add up the cost price, Kaspi commission, delivery, tax and the profit below which there's no point in selling. The panel has a product add wizard with a minimum price calculator, and the commission, tax and delivery rates are set in the settings.
Can I avoid undercutting my own stores' prices?
Yes. Add them to "friendly stores" — the bot won't try to go lower than them.
